Contest of a Weirdo: Rabelle

Name: Rabelle-Grantall Coppergrass (Rabelle for short)

Age: about 29.

Species: Human/Chinchilla with weird cat-like eyes.

History: Rabelle was born in a small house on the outskirts of Dazel. As she grew up, she was more or not an outcast, an artist and shelter volunteer, drawing all sorts of weird creatures and communicating with animals as far as a human could get, mainly chinchillas. She loved those cute little things as much as a kid loves Halloween. She worked as an assistant teacher for some time when she graduated, but then she worked at an animal shelter in the middle of the city.

During the disaster, she had been in the animal shelter, working with-guess whaaat-chinchillas. The animals hissed as gas floated through the open window, but Rabelle didn't think much-until she started feeling woozy hours later. And thus the mutation began--apparently it affected the last living thing she touched, that being the chinchillas. She grew a tail and her hair steadily changed color from a blackish to silver.
She wasn't as mutated as her little brother, Ash, was, however. He had turned into a hulking beast, clawing her arm and making her blind in one eye. She ran away into the middle of the city, taking refuge in the now abandoned animal shelter, resorting to feed off the corpses of dead animals. She still feels upset about that.
However, she dosen't know that part of her mutation makes her able to communicate with animals the way humans do with other humans.

Personality: She is extremely energetic, though she gets tired easily. She has an attitude and will speak her opinion no matter what. However, she has a gentle side towards animals, no matter what. She sees humans as hostile and usually behaves more animal than human at first sight.

In times of need, she's stubborn and doesn't ask for help unless she absolutely needs it. Since the disaster and her mutation started, she has learned to survive on the streets, salvaging for food and such, so she's crafty and quick. She is usually seen on four legs instead of two, leaning more toward her hostile, more animal-like side.

Extra: She stills feel regret for not trying to save her little brother, Ash.
Her birthday is January 7th, making her a Capricorn.
She is still into art, even after the disaster- she draws using blood, which she is still a bit squeamish about.
She had a pet cat when she was little, named Swift-Sarah. She has a habit of making up names.
